Camping and hacking

WCC2007 is all about hacking computers, camping, dining, drinking, having fun with people who love computers.

This year the Wifisoft.org Foundation organises its Wireless Community Camp for the second time from Monday August 13th until Sunday August 19th 2007.

A week of camping at the grounds of Shawano Scouting in the town of Oegstgeest, in which everything revolves around working with computers, building antennas, wireless connections for the Internet and of course around having lots of fun.

There is an extensive daily Program of lectures, workshops and excursions for beginners as well as for those more advanced. A range of experts from the world of antenna building en wireless networks will be present to give lectures and demonstrations, in which visitors are encouraged to participate.

During this week every kind of information is available about setting up wireless networks, solving problems and learning about new developments in the field of antenna building and computer science. With expert help you will be able to measure the achievements of your newly built antenna.

Of course there will be enough time left for fun and leisure. You can do sports (just like last year we have a number of recreational activities on the programme again) and for those who want to get away from it all: the Northsea beaches are at a close distance. On Saturday August 18th it is time for the boat trip on the waterways around the city of Leiden, which by now has become a tradition, where you can test antennas and wireless connections or just enjoy the view over the Dutch lowlands.

During the camping week healthy and simple meals will be available, with a choice of vegetarian. Other food and diet wishes can be taken into consideration as well. Every day breakfast, lunch and diner will be served, enjoyed together by everyone taking part. And if necessary there are numerous other possibilities in Oegstgeest and its surroundings.
